Tajikistan

    I have found this spelled Tajikistan, Tadjikistan, and locally, Tojikiston.  I believe I chose the correct, or at least the most common, form.  Later I will determine whether Tadjikistan was an error or not.
    The national sport of goat snatching certainly calls for strong, sure-footed horses, equally quick off the mark to gallop flat out and evade other riders trying to snatch the trophy, a dead goat.  Both the Karabair and the Lokai are often bred for the game, their speed showing the influence of long-dead Arab invaders' horses, their stamina being as great as that of the "Mongols."
