Breeding: Recently the term "South German Cold-blood" has come to cover all native horses of Noriker extraction in South Germany, especially in Baden and Württemburg.
Description: A heavy draft horse bred in Baden-Württemburg and at the stud farm at Marbach. Largely resembles the Noriker, though a lot more refined in appearance; more expressive head and generally deeper and broader, with less bone.
Action: Similar to the Noriker.
Size: 16 to 17 hands. 63-67 inches.
Temperament: Of rather sluggish temperament and good-natured character.
Features: Heavy native draught horse based on Noriker. Easily looked after; fertile. Exceptional traction.
