Rottaler
Introduction: I have somewhere heard mention of "the old Rottaler warhorse" -- I believe this may be it, several generations removed. Fortunately, my one source so far (The Young Specialist Looks At Horses) had a picture, for as you can see, I have practically no information about this breed. If you have any comments or suggestions, know anything about this breed, or know if it even still exists, please let me know.

Origin: Germany: Bavaria, Rottal.

Description: A medium-heavy horse, strong and of fine appearance, bred in Bavaria and Rottal, derived from the Oldenburg breed.

Features: Heavy all-purpose horse. Strong, elegant carriage horse with great nobility. Breeding based on Oldenburg stock.
