Names: Pomeranian, Pommer.
Origin: Germany, Pomerania, but since the Second World War almost all breeding has been discontinued.
Breeding: A riding horse developed in Germany and Pomerania (now part of Poland), combining the attributes of the Hanoverian and the Mecklenburg breeds.

Features: Refined, strong, very hardy, light horse founded on Hanoverian. Somewhere between Hanoverian and Mecklenburg in calibre.
