Description:  Heavier than the Gelderland.

Color:  Usually black, bay or brown.

Temperament:  Docile.

Features:  Heavy but fast.  Can live on poor food.  Hard-working.

Uses:  Used as a farm horse in its native country.  Good in harness or for riding.  Used also as a carriage horse or heavyweight riding horse.
