Czechoslovakia
Horse/Light Horse |
I am including this country even though it no
longer exists until I can decide how to relate its breeds with the modern
political divisions. I used the colors of the old Czechoslovakian flag on
this page even though I don't have a picture of it at this time.
I have included below the divisions given to this country in
The Empire of Equus:
Light horses in Bohemia: Oldenburg, English half-breds (Furioso, Nonius and Przedswit), Hannover, East Friesian, Holstein, and Kladrub.
In Moravia: Oldenburg, English half-breds (Furioso, Nonius and Przedswit), Arab half-breds (Shagya, Gidran), Norfolk, American trotter.
In Silesia: Arab half-bred and Lipizzan.
In Slovakia: English and Arab half-bred and purebred, large Nonius, Lippizan.
In the Carpathians: Huzulen, Lipizzan, and small Arabian.
Draft breeds: Belgian, Noric (this would probably be the Noriker, listed under Austria), and Netoliter.
