Samuel
John Stone
Born:
April 25, 1839, Whitmore, Staffordshire, England.
Died:
November 19, 1900, Charterhouse, Somerset, England.
Stone was educated at the Charterhouse, and at Pembroke College, Oxford (BA
1862, MA 1872). After taking Hly Orders, he became Curate of Windsor in 1862,
and of St. Paul’s, Haggerston, 1870. In 1874, he succeeded his father, William
Stone, at St. Paul’s. His works include:
