From the Kitchen of Rose Mary
9" x 13" Greased Pan
In large bowl or mixer bowl Blend:
2 cGranulated Sugar
6 T Cocoa
1 1/2 c Flour
Add and beat in until smooth:
4 Eggs or 1 c Egg Beaters
2 t Vanilla
On low speed or by hand, stir in:
1 1/2 c Regular White or Whole Wheat Flour
Add and mix well:
3/4 c Melted Butter or Margarine
Pour into buttered 9" x 13" pan.
Bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
Cool and Frost with:
Buttercream Chocolate Frosting
In medium mixer bowl blend:
1/2 c Sifted Cocoa
3 c Sifted Powdered Sugar
Add and mix on low until blended
1/3 c Softened (Not melted) Margarine
Add gradually, beating well until desired "spreadability:"
3 - 4 T Milk (1 T at a time)
Beat on High for additional 3 - 4 minutes until smooth and creamy.
(This is a basic staple frosting, can be used on cake, cookies, etc.)
