Have
faith in God –
Till the coming Man we see;
Have faith in God –
His redeemed new race is free;
Have faith in God –
For the world that is to be.
Have faith, dear friend, in God.
Come, Christians, Join to Sing
Christian Henry Bateman, 1813-1889
Come, let us sing for joy to the LORD; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods. Psalm 95:1-3.
This
hymn was originally titled Come, Children, Join to Sing. It first
appeared in 1843 in a collection Sacred Melodies for Sabbath Schools and
Families, edited by the author of this text, Christian H. Bateman.
Come, Christians, join to sing
Alleluia! Amen!
Loud praise to Christ our King;
Alleluia! Amen!
Let all, with heart and voice,
Before His throne rejoice;
Praise is His gracious choice.
Alleluia! Amen!
Come, lift your hearts on high,
Alleluia! Amen!
Let praises fill the sky;
Alleluia! Amen!
He is our Guide and Friend;
To us He’ll condescend;
His love shall never end.
Alleluia! Amen!
Praise yet our Christ again,
Alleluia! Amen!
Life shall not end the strain;
Alleluia! Amen!
On heaven’s blissful shore,
His goodness we’ll adore,
Singing forevermore,
“Alleluia! Amen!”
