Majuro -- Your letter has made it to Majuro, Marshall Islands.  I am the vice-principal at Majuro SDA School. For more information on our school visit www.majurosda.org.

The Marshall Islands are a country made up of 29 coral atolls. An atoll is a ring of small low lying coral islands with a large lagoon in the middle. The average altitude of the Marshalls is only 7 feet above sea level. Majuro is located 7 degrees north of the equator and approximately 170 degrees East longitude. We basically have two seasons wet and dry. Wet season is from June to December and dry season is from January to May. The temperature is very constant it here. The average day time high is about 85 degrees.

The main attraction in the Marshall Islands is Scuba diving. Bikini Atoll, where the U.S.A. tested nuclear bombs, has become a world class diving site with people visiting from all over the world to scuba dive there. You can find more information about Bikini at www.bikiniatoll.com There are also quite a few WWII wrecks scattered around the Marshalls.
