An Invitation
 
You are cordially invited to an occasion of which Jesus Christ is Host.  The time is resurrection.  The place is the Holy City.  The music will be presented by the redeemed saints and the holy angels.  There will be a special choir of the 144,000.  Food from the tree of life will be served by the gracious heavenly host.  Formal attire is required - such as:  a glowing, happy face and a glittering crown.  Clothed with immortality and the robe of righteousness.  Transportation will be by chariot, piloted by many holy angels.  Favors will be:  No more death or sorrow, neither crying nor pain.  Prepare to come.  You will be missed if you are not there.

DIRECTIONS TO OUR FATHER'S HOUSE
 
Make a Right onto Believeth Blvd. Keep straight and go through the Green Light, which is Jesus Christ. There, you must turn onto the Bridge of Faith, which is over troubled waters. When you get off the bridge, make a Right turn and Keep Straight. You are on the King's Highway - Heaven-bound. Keep going for three miles: One for the Father, One for the Son, and One for the Holy Ghost. Then exit off onto Grace Blvd. From there, make a Right turn on Gospel Lane. Keep Straight and then make another Right on Prayer Road.
 
As you go on your way Yield Not to the traffic on Temptation Ave. Also avoid SIN STREET because it is a DEAD END. Pass up Envy Drive, and Hate Avenue. Also, pass Hypocrisy Street, Gossiping Lane, and Backbiting Blvd. However, you have to go down Long-suffering Lane, Persecution Blvd. and Trials and Tribulations Ave. But that's all right, because VICTORY Street is straight ahead!

I'm not sure I totally agree with all the words to this next poem, but the meaning is deep and profound.

THE POEM
I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time."
