Fibromyalgia Tender Points

For a diagnosis of Fibromyalgia all of the following must be present: pain in the left side of the body, pain in the right side of the body, pain above the waist and pain below the waist. There will probably be pain in the spine, neck, front of the chest, upper or low back.

When the doctor presses with only on these points, with only a small amount of pressure. some in each quadrant of the body are extremely painful if you have fibromyalgia, even though you might not have known they were sore. On the other hand, many people will feel great pain radiating from them, even when they are not pressed.
