Other: The best I can figure out, this is the Mattathias that falls closest to Jesus in Luke's genealogy; if this is the case, he is also descended in some way from Nathan. This would make sense, since during that time the Israelites married within their own tribes and therefore both he and his wife could well have descended through several generations from the same person; however, names were repeated and some have changed in spelling upon translation so much that it is very difficult to determine where their genealogies meet.
