Airs on and above the ground:  An expression used chiefly for the High School exhibitions which are carried out by the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.  Airs on the ground: High School movements, pas de trois, work on long reins.  Airs above the ground: such movements as the courbette, capriole and levade.

All-rounder:  Horse or pony that is good at different things, like jumping, hunting and gymkhana games.

AppaloosaA spotted breed; the term is also used to describe any spotted coat patterning generally represented by the breed.

ArabianAn ancient breed of horse from the deserts of Arabia.  Arabians are known for their courage, stamina, and beauty.
