Australian Pony

Names:  Australian Pony, rather obviously named for its country of origin.  I am not sure whether the word "Pony" is generally capitalized or not.

Origin:  British settlers took many different types of ponies when they moved to Australia 200 years ago.  It is from these that the Australian Pony is descended.

Breeding:  A mix of various breeds, including the Shetland, the Australian pony now most closely resembles the Welsh Mountain.

Description:  

Color:  Often gray.

Height:  Up to 14 hands.

Temperament:  Well known for its friendly nature.
