Bishop's Bread

From the Kitchen of Beverly Blanton

 

1½ c unbleached flour

1½ t baking powder

¼ t salt

1 c glazed semi-sweet choc. chips

1 c chopped walnuts

1 c date pieces

1 c glacéed fruit

3 eggs

1 c sugar

In medium bowl mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in chocolate chips, nuts, dates, and glacéed fruit until well coated with flour. In large bowl, with mixer at medium speed, beat eggs well, then gradually beat in sugar. Fold in flour mixture. Put in sprayed glass 9x9 pan. Bake at 325 degrees F. for 1 hour or until done.
